Review of polling districts and stations

Date: 12 October 2023

Reference Number: 6328

g out a consultation on polling districts and stations across the borough.

It asks anyone living in the borough to  comment on  current polling districts and stations and suggest alternative locations that could be used.

Delyth Curtis Chief Executive of the Council and (Acting) Returning Officer, said: “It is important our residents have an opportunity to cast their vote on election days.

“This review gives everyone the chance to let us know if they have experienced any issues with their polling district or station, or whether they have any concerns about the new ones we have proposed.

“Your comments will help us to make sure that our service is the best it can be at election time.”

The process affects voting arrangements for the following parliamentary constituencies: City of Chester and Ellesmere Port and Neston and Eddisbury, Weaver Vale and Tatton –(where polling districts form part of the Council’s polling scheme).

The review will also take into consideration the final recommendations of the 2023 parliamentary boundary review undertaken by the Boundary Commission England as follows:

Chester North and Neston and Chester South and Eddisbury Ellesmere Port and Bromborough, Mid Cheshire Runcorn and Helsby and Tatton (where polling districts form part of the Council’s polling scheme).
