Acton Bridge Parish Council has eight Parish Councillors, one of whom is elected Chair, and another Vice Chair. The Parish Clerk is also present at each meeting, and the three Cheshire West and Chester Councillors for the Weaver and Cuddington Ward are also welcome to attend.
Councillors are elected for terms of four years. Should a resignation or vacancy occur, any ten electors in the Parish may call an election by writing to the returning officer at Cheshire West and Chester Council. If an election is not called, vacancies are advertised and applications are requested. The Parish Council can then co-opt a new member, from the applicants, to fill the vacancy.
