The Parish Council are pleased to report that a new foot bridge has been installed on footpath Acton Bridge FP19, which runs from the River Weaver at Acton Swing Bridge up to Cliff Road, at the point where it crosses with FP20, which runs from the bottom of Acton Lane. The foot bridge is located just off Warrington Road by Acton Swing Bridge; the previous bridge was destroyed in the devastating floods of January 2021. With grateful thanks to Borough Councillor Paul Williams for his invaluable support in helping the Parish Council get it replaced by CWAC, we are glad perseverance has paid off and this popular footpath is now fully passable once again.
